This simple, yet robust system is composed of just 3 main parts – the bolt body, inertia spring, and rotating bolt head – and works by harnessing the inertia of recoil to cycle the next round. From a cleanliness and speed perspective, gas systems simply cannot compete. The Inertia Driven System prevents residue from entering the action and ensures the gas, smoke, and burnt powder remain in the barrel. During testing, Inertia-Driven Benelli shotguns have been known to fire 500,000+ rounds and still function without flaw.
